Companies (Impact on Communities Abroad) Bill - A bill to make UK companies legally accountable for damage to communities and environments abroad has been backed by the CORE coalition, including Friends of the Earth. Details: www.corporate-responsibility.org. A Corporate Responsibility Bill was proposed by Andy King MP last year but blocked by the Government in January 2004.
Renewable Heat Bill - to comabt climate change and tackle fuel poverty. Details: national FoE website.
Household Waste Recycling Act - In 2003 Joan Ruddock MP got government support for a private members bill which will require doorstep recycling collections for almost everyone by 2011. The campaign now is to get local authorities to provide better services now. (See our recycling page.)
Early Day Motions

  • EDM 28 (Tim Yeo MP) - Biomass.

  • EDM 272 (Bob Blizzard MP) - Wind Energy.
  • EDM 340 (Sue Doughty MP) - Micro Wind Generators.
