Vote for Clean Air in
Nottingham's Market Square

Entertainment and information stalls will be running from 11am-3pm in Old Market Square on Saturday 13 June, to mark the beginning of Green Transport Week.

Green Transport Week is a national week of activities in which many different groups are working to raise awareness of the impacts of how we travel; and of ways to change the situation for the better.

Local groups have joined together to provide street theatre; and Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, Earth First!, Pedals, Notts Transport 2000 and the Green Party will be holding stalls promoting green methods of transport. A ballot box will be set up, and the public will be encouraged to express their concerns about traffic problems in Nottingham, and their ideas for solutions, on green voting slips.

Amanda Blythe of Nottingham Friends of the Earth said:

"This will be a fun event for all the family, but don't forget to vote for clean air and safer streets."
